Primary Purpose:
Responsible for handling vendor payments and other financial liabilities of the organization. Compiles and maintains accounts payable records by performing the following duties.

Physical Demands: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting; repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Work Environment: Standard office environment
Starting Salary: $22/hr

Responsible for handling vendor payments and other financial liabilities of the organization. Compiles and maintains accounts payable records by performing the following duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review and process all invoices for payment ensuring three-way match.
- Reconcile purchase orders with invoices.
- Data entry, electronic filing, help maintain Accounts Payable online Inbox.
- Communicate with vendors and school staff to obtain proper documents and answer all inquiries.
- Review and process Accounts Payable check requests.
- Prints Accounts Payable reports.
- Prepares Analysis of accounts, as required.
- Reconciles and processes Employee Reimbursement requests including mileage, expense, 5 Year Professional Development, and Continuous Learner Grants.
- Review contracts and contractors billing and ensuring proper processing of payments.
- Ability to coordinate workload with other team members within the Finance Department.
- Review outstanding checks list and reconcile for ESCHEATS to be sent to the Texas State Comptroller.
- Reconcile the monthly credit card statement for all utilities paid by credit card.
- Providing billing documentation and coding for all auto drafted utilities journal entries.
- Complete quarterly site visits to the campuses for review of outstanding issues and concerns.
- Maintain the records and prepare annual 1099’s for all required vendors.
Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s)
- Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Preferably two years college or minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience in school business setting.
- Specials Skills/Certifications: Basic math skills; Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Communication Skills: Mastery of both oral and written English with the ability to write general correspondence
- Bilingual Skills: N/A
- Technology: Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and word processing
