Primary Purpose:
Uplift Education offers this unique, full time Campus Leadership Coach position to ensure that campus principals and assistant principals can receive targeted support and coaching.  To support the professional growth goals set collaboratively with the Managing Directors of Schools, the campus leadership coach provides coaching and feedback to assist principals/assistant principals in achieving amazing results for students.  This non-evaluative coach position is designed to increase the capacity of campus leaders to effectively lead by implementing systems focused on improving outcomes for all students and creating more inclusive school cultures grounded in the International Baccalaureate framework.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Provides school leaders with non-evaluative coaching and specific feedback on both instructional and school management
  • Provides support and guidance on problem-solving, conflict resolution, and communication skills
  • Collaborates with Managing Directors to monitor the growth of school leaders
  • Develops and implement strategies that target critical leadership behaviors in an effort to lead school improvement effectively
  • Organizes and prioritizes in a demanding context to maximize time with principals onsite
  • Promotes instructional leadership through alignment, coordination, and delivery of professional development
  • Develops campus leader professional learning networks focused on leaders’ growth as school leaders
  • Facilitate leader development on school and instructional management
  • Develops coaching plans based on a strengths-based assessment of leaders

Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s)
  • Education Requirements: Master’s Degree required; may substitute equivalent work experience for degree preference
  • Experience Requirements:
    • Successful principalship including recruiting, hiring and supporting staff
    • Demonstrated experience closing gaps in student achievement
    • Successful experiences collecting, organizing and using student and teacher data
    • Successful experience working with and teaching adults
    • Demonstrated ability to coach principals in improving teaching and learning in their school
    • Successful district level experience or demonstrated ability to work on district level initiatives that are closely aligned with the vision of the organization
  • Special Skills/Certifications: School leader or superintendent certification preferred.
 
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Communication Skills: Formal and informal writing and oratory skills are required
  • Bilingual Skills: Preferred but not required
  • Technology: Comfort and proficiency in multiple technology platforms including Microsoft, Google, and Tableau

Physical Demands: Hearing and speaking to exchange information; seeing to perform assigned duties; sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment; kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, to retrieve and store files and materials, and lifting light objects. 
 
Strength: Sedentary/Medium – Exert force to 10-25 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. constantly
or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects.
 
Work Environment: Climate controlled office setting with exposure to moderate to high noise intensity levels. Regular travel to schools and departments, occasional out of town travel

Starting Salary: $130,000
