Primary Purpose:
As an effort to increase scholar applications, the following proposal is being suggested. Hired interns would remain under the Scholar Recruitment team.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an aggressive posture toward identifying and capitalizing on new and innovative recruitment opportunities to drive scholar applications
  • Serve as the face of Uplift at community events
  • Closely track prospective families, applications per open seat for each grade and school; updates tracking tools/reports; Follows up with prospective families either over phone or email
  • Work with Regional Managers to develop campus-specific strategies to achieve application goals, in line with network best practices
  • Persuasively encourage families to apply to Uplift and accept lottery offers
  • Build a database of prospective families, tracking through recruiting stages of applicant lifecycle (from interested to applicant)
  • Assist with re-enrollment and pre-k duties as needed
  • Consistently/persistently follow-up with leads via phone calls
  • Call waitlists to encourage families to enroll at other Uplift schools
  • Leverage existing families for referrals table at local events
  • Visit local business to spread literature and information about Uplift
  • Monitor/answer website chat box questions

Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s)
  • Education Requirements:
    • HS diploma required
    • Associates degree or higher preferred; relevant work experience may be substituted for degree preference
  • Special Skills/Certifications
    • Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
 
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Bilingual Skills: Spanish preferred


Physical Demands: Frequent walking and standing; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting; repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds).
 
Work Environment: Role requires frequent travel to businesses and communities across the DFW metroplex. May spend some time on school campuses or at the Central Management Office.

Starting pay: $20.00/hr
