Primary Purpose:
The Manager of Fundraising Operations is responsible for the daily operations of the Fundraising department. Working across the Fundraising team, the Manager of Fundraising Operations will lead all development operations including but not limited to reporting, analytics, database management, and vendor relations. Acting as a liaison between Marketing & Communications and Finance, the Manager of Fundraising Operations will build upon Uplift Education’s current processes for the efficient and effective management of daily fundraising operations, providing key insights and approaches that will support the department’s goals to diversify revenue and increase awareness for Uplift Education’s community impact. The Manager of Fundraising Operations will also be the department lead for the management of electronic fundraising platforms that support annual fundraising campaigns engagement and giving experiences.

  • Implement and execute tools and best practices that will build on the current foundation of fundraising processes, including but not limited to reports and analysis for all categories of revenue: direct mail, individual giving, major gifts, corporate (grants, special events), and grants.
  • In partnership with the Fundraising team and Finance, oversee the maintenance and updating donor files in a Customer Relations Management (CRM) module, ensuring the integrity of donor information.
  • In partnership with the fundraising team and Finance, coordinate the processing of acknowledgments, tracking all donations, recognition, and communication with donors.
  • Support the fundraising team the tracking, execution, and performance of digital and all fundraising efforts.
  • Provide holistic department support to ensure efficient and effective practices that advance revenue and engagement goals.
  • Represent Uplift Education Fundraising department as the key relationship manager for departmental vendors, ensuring an efficient and responsive process from engagement to execution and fulfillment of deliverables.

Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s)
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required; Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • Experience Requirements: 5 years’ experience managing CRM, fundraising database (Bloomerang), Foundation Search and other donor research tools.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Experience providing customer service and user support related to data operations, customer relations management (CRMs), and/or fundraising platforms.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis and research skills, with the ability to effectively translate information to a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Skill in private fund raising.
  • Skill in communicating both in written and oral form.
  • Skill in operating a computer and various supporting software packages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: the ability to work with diverse audiences internally and externally. Detail-oriented and demonstrated ability to quickly and concisely synthesize large amounts of information.
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills that include sensitivity to donor information
  • Experience working within a “team” fundraising and/or a sales environment, leveraging shared resources to identify revenue and engagement opportunities.
  • Ability to connect with potential donors promoting the needs of PCC’s foundation in a way that results in giving.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work with an ethnically and culturally diverse population.
  • Ability to provide effective and responsive service to donors, volunteers and community contacts.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple project, resolve problems and make decisions.
  • Knowledge of effective private fundraising techniques and practices, including annual fund, solicitation techniques and planned giving programs.
  • Knowledge of Association of Fundraising Professionals code of ethical conduct, National Committee on Planned Giving ethical practices and the Donor Bill of Rights.
  • Knowledge of volunteer management techniques.

Work Environment: Hybrid remote work arrangement available. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level is low to high and may have frequent interruptions. There may be activity from other employees and students of a distracting nature.

Starting Salary: $65,000
