Primary Purpose
The Operations Director is responsible for leading, structuring, and directing critical non-instructional activities to support the educational environment on campus, ensuring that day to day operations of the school site run smoothly. The Operations Director serves as a key leader on campus, partnering closely with the Academic Director(s) and supervising campus operations team members. This position drives our World Class Support mission, working to continually improve customer support for our academic leaders, teachers, families and scholars in the areas of safety; facility cleanliness and maintenance; attendance and state reporting; purchasing and office processes; carline; and reception desk coverage.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead and directly oversee non-instructional support on campus, including daily attendance and state reporting processes; building and grounds cleanliness and maintenance; school safety and security; office and purchasing processes; and reception desk coverage
Act as liaison between the campus and non-instructional departments at the CMO, including Child Nutrition, Instructional Technology, State Reporting, Wellbeing and Health Services, Central Facilities, Scholar Recruitment, and Family Engagement
Coordinate closely with Academic Directors to ensure operations support is tailored to their needs and campus instructional priorities
Serve as manager for operations staff: train, evaluate, and support assigned non-instructional campus personnel
Coordinate effectively with external partners including aftercare programs, local emergency responders, city officials, night cleaning and repair vendors, etc.
This position works on campus as a key leader in a fast-paced school environment, working closely alongside Operations team members to ensure we’re delivering on our world class support mission. The typical day includes working AM & PM carlines, assigning Permanent Substitute teachers, supporting attendance taking and reports, coordinating with academic leaders to support daily priorities, ensuring front desk coverage and high-level customer support for parents and visitors, and responding to any safety or security concerns throughout the day.
Qualifications:
Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s)
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.
Experience Requirements: 3+ years in K12 Operations leadership or in a similar field preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Bi-lingual Skills: Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
Technology: Strong computer skills and ability to analyze data; familiar with the Microsoft suite: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams; able to quickly learn and utilize new applications.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to feel, touch and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and use stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The environment requires close proximity to other employees, frequent interruptions, and extended periods of time viewing a computer screen, and noise levels from moderate to high. There may be activity from other employees and students of distracting nature. Must be able to work outside in varied weather conditions for arrival and dismissal support at carline.
Starting Salary: $90,000
