Primary Purpose:
The Regional Family and Scholar Engagement Manager implements and oversees Uplift’s engagement and retention program on both a regional and campus-specific level for a cluster of Uplift schools. Under the guidance of the Director of Family and Scholar Engagement, the Regional Manager helps design and implement a program that positively engages scholars and their families throughout their Uplift journey, grows school culture and experience, and ultimately drives scholar re-enrollment and retention across the Network.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develops region and campus-specific strategies to achieve First Day of School enrollment and retention goals, in line with network best practices as outlined by Director
  • Develops transition strategy to drive scholar persistence between campuses at critical PS/MS and MS/HS matriculation points
  • Oversees family and scholar onboarding, social and culture activities/events, parent volunteer organization and referral program, and administers family surveys for assigned campuses
  • Manages team of 5-10 campus-level Family Engagement Coordinators, responsible for managing day-to-day priorities and professional development of Engagement and Enrollment Coordinators
  • Builds and manages campus timeline, budget, and activity playbook and parent calendars implemented by Family Engagement Coordinators
  • Implements processes and monitors progress on family communication standards, family training, scholar withdrawals and family complaints to resolution
  • Tracks and closely monitors expected scholar re-enrollment at each campus within region, driving intervention process for families who are at risk of leaving network
  • Regularly attends PK-12 meetings with schools leading the agenda and providing enrollment and retention updates, progress tracking and follow-up actions
    • Works closely with campus teams, attending events and interactive with scholars and families as needed
  • Works in close partnership with Regional Recruiting Managers to ensure a seamless experience for our families and to ensure a strong presence at prospective family events
  • Oversee training Family Engagement Coordinators and teachers (when needed) in strategies for engaging families
  • Ensure compliance with the School/Parent Compact and Parent Involvement Policy and requirements for Title I parent engagement
  • Collaborate with community organizations to increase Family Engagement

Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s):
Bachelor's degree (B. A./ B.S.) from four-year college or university required. 3 years of experience in education field required. Demonstrated management experience highly desired.
 
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and individuals. Ability to conduct training and informational sessions for internal and public audience. Spanish language skills are preferred but not required.
  • Bi-lingual Skills: Spanish and English preferred
  • Technology: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be competent in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) and ability to learn and use computer software as necessary. Ability to use basic office equipment and manage social media platforms
  • Event Planning: To create project and work plans for events
  • Customer Service: Ability to provide appropriate verbal and nonverbal responses to families in all situations and always make families feel a sense of belonging
  • Travel: This job requires may require some driving to various campuses/events located across DFW; candidates must have access to reliable, personal transportation and a valid Texas driver’s license.

Work at a desk and computer screen for extended periods of time.
  
Work Environment:

The noise level is moderate and may have frequent interruptions. There may be activity from other employees and students of a distracting nature.

Starting Salary: $65,000
