Primary Purpose:
The Regional Scholar Recruiter represents Uplift in the community and with prospective families and leads new student recruitment for Uplift’s schools within their assigned region. The Regional Scholar Recruiter will develop and cultivate community relationships & drive awareness of Uplift schools to generate new leads and applications for more families to have the opportunity to attend Uplift schools. The Regional Scholar Recruiter will clearly articulate the Uplift value proposition and tailor our benefits to the needs of our prospective families.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develops region-specific strategies to achieve application goals and maximizes activities to drive new leads and awareness of Uplift to prospective families to hit regional targets
  • Serves as the face of Uplift in the community and develops deep expertise of Uplift’s value proposition; Persuasively convinces families to apply to Uplift
  • Sources and cultivates community partnerships and tailors activities that are mutually beneficial for Uplift and the organization while quantifying the impact and adjusting based on the analysis
  • Identifies and plans a detailed event schedule, manages budget and organizes logistics; quantifies the success of each event to inform future plans
  • Maintains an aggressive posture toward identifying and capitalizing on new and innovative recruitment opportunities to drive scholar applications
  • Consistently tracks and evaluates the success of efforts against open seats and ensures all leads and applications are correctly captured in our tools (e.g., CRM tool)
  • Assists with other recruiting activities as needed (e.g., phone sales coverage, supporting other regions’ events)
  • Accepts 1:1 coaching and consistently strive to improve performance; Attends and participate in team-wide trainings
  • Regularly shares best practices with colleagues across regions
 
Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s)
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; may substitute equivalent work experience for degree preference.
  • Experience Requirements: 2+ Years experience in sales or recruiting role highly desired, previous education experience preferred but not required. Uplift alumni strongly preferred but not required

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Communication / Sales Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to understand and address customer needs; strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies. Use ethical, consultative, and assumptive selling approach. Persuasive, adaptable communication skills to drive interest in Uplift and develop trusting relationships with prospective families 
  • Bilingual Skills: Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
  • Uplift knowledge: Deep knowledge of Uplift value proposition and/or Uplift alumni strongly preferred.
  • Technology: Experience with reporting sales data and performance metrics using CRM systems.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit and use the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to push or pull a cart. 
 
Work Environment: Hybrid work environment. Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Dallas/Ft Worth and surrounding areas (reimbursement for mileage included). Events may be hosted outdoors or indoors in varying weather conditions. 

Starting Salary: $55,000 + bonus potential
