Primary Purpose:
The Scholar Application Coordinator heads centralized efforts to contact leads and convert them to applications. The goal of the Scholar Application Coordinator is to drive high conversion rates, giving more scholars the opportunity to join an Uplift campus. The Scholar Application Coordinator will optimize their strategy based on effectiveness of tactics and clearly articulate the Uplift value proposition while tailoring our benefits to the unique needs of our prospective families. Coordinators will manage the various lead channels and regularly interact with both active and passive prospects. Scholar Application Coordinators will provide additional staffing for regional in-person events as needed and support our marketing and enrollment efforts during slower periods.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements a conversion strategy aligned to the schools and divisions they support to fill open seats and develop healthy waitlists for future open seats
  • Serves as the face of Uplift with prospective families and develops deep expertise of Uplift’s value proposition; Persuasively convinces families to apply to Uplift
  • Optimizes delivery strategy and lead contact process to track metrics related to conversion rates (sourcing channel, channel efficiency and acceptance rate)
  • Manages lead sources and uses discretion to identify leads; Contacts all assigned leads within one week of receiving them and converts leads to applications to achieve assigned goals
  • Displays persistence and tenacity while identifying and capitalizing on new and innovative recruitment opportunities to drive scholar applications
  • Builds relationships, educates prospective families and uses judgement on appropriate follow-up methods to balance
  • Logs all touchpoints in our designated tools (e.g., CRM) and ensure information there remains up-to-date
  • Provides extra staffing for in-person recruiting events and peak periods for our enrollment team as needed
  • Accepts 1:1 coaching and consistently strive to improve performance
  • Attends and participates in team-wide trainings and regularly shares best practices with colleagues across regions
 
Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s)
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; may substitute equivalent work experience for degree preference.
  • Experience Requirements: 2+ years in a phone sales role highly desired; Uplift alumni strongly preferred but not required.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Communication / Sales Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to understand and address customer needs; strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies. Use ethical, consultative and assumptive selling approach.
  • Bilingual Skills: Ability to speak Spanish is required.
  • Uplift knowledge: Deep knowledge of Uplift value proposition and/or Uplift alumni strongly preferred.
  • Technology: Experience with reporting sales data and performance metrics using CRM systems.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit and use the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to push or pull a cart. 
 
Work Environment: Hybrid work environment. Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Dallas/Ft Worth and surrounding areas (reimbursement for mileage included). Events may be hosted outdoors or indoors in varying weather conditions. 

Starting Salary: $50,000 + bonus potential
