Process Overview

Online Application

We safely collect your information online, saving your profile for future applications.

Phone/Video Interview

We may reach out to you for a phone or video interview, to see if your professional interests and personal mission are aligned with ours.

Hiring Exercise/Model Lesson

At this stage of the interview process, you have an opportunity to show the hiring panel what you’re made of through a hands-on exercise.

Final Interview

As part of the final interview, you’ll have an opportunity to meet future colleagues so that you can make an informed decision as to whether Uplift is right for you.

Offer Employment

Successful candidates will receive a conditional offer of employment detailing responsibilities, compensation, and benefits. Safety is a top priority so we ask all successful candidates to complete a background check at this stage.

New Hire Orientation

Our team will provide you with comprehensive onboarding to ensure that you are prepared to hit the ground running on your first day!

General Questions

Once you submit your application, you should receive an e-mail notification that the District did receive it. Any time that the status of your application changes, you will also receive an email notification.

Please have the employee submit a referral on Uplink – our district’s intranet. You as an applicant can also make a note of it on your application under “References”.

Certification Requirements

Official transcripts are required from all colleges/universities that the candidate has attended, including the one which shows the date the degree was conferred/awarded (for positions requiring degrees). Electronic records are accepted provided they are emailed directly from the university to hr@uplifteducation.org with the subject line: First Name Last Name Certifications/Transcripts.

  • For Teachers, Teacher Assistants, Academic Directors, Academic Deans, Curriculum & Instruction Directors, Curriculum and Instruction Specialists, Child Nutrition Cooks, Cafe Workers, Drivers, Health Office Aides, Nurse LVNS, Social Counselors, Academic Counselors, RTCC Counselors, Interventionists, and Student Support Specialists, Uplift determines compensation on a salary schedule based on years of experience in role. 
  • New Hires may provide their service records during the completion of their onboarding paperwork.  This must be completed within 30 days from your first day of employment to be considered in the validation of your salary. 
  • Please read more about state requirements for valid years of service on the TEA website: https://tea.texas.gov/texas-educators/salary-and-service-record. 

  • A candidate with experience outside of Texas may print the State of Texas service record form and forward it to their previous district(s) for completion. The document must be signed by the institution’s administrative official, preferably with the institution’s seal. As soon as the service record(s) are approved, the salary is adjusted retroactive to the employee’s start date or the beginning of the current school year.
